Below you'll find salary ranges for the two main career paths in aviation. These figures reflect annual compensation at different stages of a flying career, from your first airline job flying regional routes all the way up to captain at a major carrier.
$100K - $240K
Annual salary for regional airline pilots. Most new airline pilots start their careers here, flying shorter routes on smaller aircraft while building the flight hours and experience needed to advance.
Annual salary depending on role and experience. Once pilots move up to a major airline, they fly larger aircraft on long-haul routes, and senior captains at the top of the pay scale can earn well over $700K per year.
